Years ago I stumbled across "Pregnant In America" which then led me to find "The Business of Being Born"

I honestly have no idea why I even found these documentaries, but I know that I immediately became passionate about what they were saying and absolutely had to share them with my husband (who immediately "got it" and got just as passionate as I did about the whole thing).

I gave birth to my first child in August, 2010. I would have loved to have a home birth, but I had some high-risk issues and a home location that weren't in favor of this. I am amazed at the women who have done home births and love reading their stories.

Whether you've had a home birth, an easy birth, a hospital birth, a traumatic birth, I'd love to hear your stories. I have recently decided to go down the Doula path and become a certified birth Doula. I'm so excited to integrate this into my Massage Therapy education as well. So far, my massage credentials include Swedish Massage and Prenatal/Postpartum Massage. These will expand even further during the next year.
